Rebecca completed her master’s degree in biotechnology at the Biotechnical Faculty of Ljubljana and started working at the National Institute of biology as a scientific assistant in 2018. Her primary work was focused on exploring biological processes. She later continued her work as a professional associate in the group focused on therapeutic viruses, where the main activity was development of new analytical methods and continuous analytical support of gene therapy process development. She has 3 years of experience in the characterization of viral vectors for gene therapy and is skilled in different analytical techniques such as digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR), high throughput sequencing (HTS), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), assay design and validation.
